Festa della Musica joins Second Life: Take part!

On 21, 22 and 23 June, starting at 9pm, the stage of Festa della Musica on Second Life, situated here - http://slurl.com/secondlife/experience/163/92/34 - will host a great event: the avatars, “residents” of Second Life, will perform in the famous virtual world, celebrating the Summer Solstice with the special guest Silvia Salemi.

For the first time, Second Life users have the opportunity to become protagonists of an important musical event. They only need to fill in the application form and they can perform their own songs or, alternatively, the songs selected by Festa della Musica. The works are to be covered by Creative Commons licenses, which promote diffusion and use of creative works, especially on digital platforms.

How to take part?

You only need to create an avatar on Second Life, in case you haven’t done it yet, and go to the stand of Festa della Musica which is set up inside the Italian Cultural Institute, addressed here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Eup/204/154/33. You will be offered some gadgets of the Festa, and asked to withdraw the application form (also downloadable from here).

The first applicants, until the fullfillment of the tracklist, will have the possibility to perform on the theatre stage of Festa della Musica on 21, 22 and 23 June, from 9pm (Italian time zone). The avatars will have max 10 minutes at disposal to synchronize and promote their songs, playing the musical instruments and using the animations distributed freely at the stage of Festa: http://slurl.com/secondlife/experience/163/92/34.

Moreover, promo videos of the performances will be produced and diffused across all online platforms for digital contents.

Silvia Salemi, the godmother of the first Second Life edition of Festa della Musica, will present her new album in a premiere performance.
